Ministry of Education Trains 50 Computer Instructors in Cybersecurity

Kuwait: The Ministry of Education has successfully trained 50 computer instructors on the basics of cybersecurity, in collaboration with a national company that offered several initiatives to support the ministry in this field.

Mansour Al-Dhafiri, Acting Assistant Undersecretary for General Education, confirmed the completion of the training program and praised the fruitful cooperation between the Technical Guidance Department and the company. He highlighted the company’s sincere efforts and the positive feedback received from the participants.

Al-Dhafiri emphasized that such initiatives play a key role in enhancing cybersecurity awareness and developing the skills of Kuwaiti youth. He also mentioned that the General Technical Guidance Department fully supports the company’s efforts and has encouraged other relevant departments to work closely with it on future projects.

He outlined the importance of this initiative based on four key goals:

  1. Empowering youth by equipping them with skills for the modern job market.
  2. Encouraging creativity and innovation among students.
  3. Building a knowledge-based economy by preparing a new generation of scientists, engineers, and entrepreneurs, and by diversifying national income sources.
  4. Preparing for future challenges such as climate change and digital transformation, while also raising awareness about the importance of STEM education.
