Ministry of Interior: Illegal Resident Arrested with 1,500 Bottles of Imported Alcohol

The Ministry of Interior announced that an illegal resident was arrested in possession of approximately 1,500 bottles of imported alcohol, as part of a major operation carried out by the Criminal Security Sector.

In an official statement, the Ministry confirmed that the arrest was made by the General Department for Combating Narcotics, following intensive investigations and targeted field surveillance. The confiscated alcohol, with an estimated street value exceeding KD 100,000, was seized alongside a significant amount of cash believed to be the proceeds of illicit trafficking activities.

Authorities identified the suspect as a “Bedoon” (stateless individual), who is now in custody pending further legal procedures. The Ministry emphasized that this arrest forms part of its broader efforts to clamp down on illegal trade and protect public safety.

The Ministry reiterated its commitment to upholding the law and urged the public to report any suspicious activities through official communication channels.
